Who is Stacy Darling?
Stacy Darling was only 21 years old when she passed away in a car accident alongside her younger sister, Amanda. Their father, Fred Darling, was a prominent local businessman and avid tennis player. In 2005, the Darling Memorial Fund partnered with the City of Las Vegas to open the Amanda & Stacy Darling Memorial Tennis Center, the largest tennis center in Nevada & site for this tournament.
FAQ
When will the matches be played?
Depending on the number of signups, you should anticipate playing one weeknight match (after 5pm). Saturday and Sunday will be the Semis and Finals and will take place all day.
How many matches am I guaranteed?
2! We will have a consolation bracket. Main draw matches will take precedent in the event of bad weather but we will try our absolute hardest to make sure everyone gets 2 matches.
Can I play in multiple events?
Yes, and your 2nd signup is discounted to $25! The only thing you can't do is play in two of the same events at different levels (ie 3.5 and 4.0 Singles.) We encourage everybody to play both singles and doubles!
Will this count towards my USTA Rating?
Yes! If you make it to the finals in Singles & Doubles that's 5-6 matches, so ratings-wise its like a whole season of league!
